The first and only XRP focused film written and directed by Christopher Dodge, XRP Unleashed: Rigged from the Start, premiered only in select cities across America. One of those cities being Houston, Texas. Individuals had to have bought their tickets quickly and ahead of time because there was a limited number of them and they wouldn’t have been able to buy them on the same day as each premiere. After purchasing tickets online, it gave Individuals the option to further support the movie by buying a T-shirt and poster.
The movie was hosted at Studio Movie Grill on November 13, 2024. Many people came to see the movie, and they all had very different backgrounds. A lot of people came from different states, either driving or flying in from places like California, Arizona, New York, and Georgia.
Walking into the movie theater you are greeted by Maia Dodge, who handed out everyone’s premier pass lanyards. She is the wife of the director of the movie, as well as being also credited as the movie’s producer. The XRP Unleashed Premiere Pass lanyards that were handed out had a QR code on the back that led to the Rotten Tomatoes website asking those who watched the movie to share their experience.
After everyone received their lanyards, attendees were directed to a lobby area with a bar. The place quickly filled up and became a place for discussion for those that were either invested or curious about XRP. People primarily talked about how they started out in Crypto and which of the major ones they were in other than XRP. Many people had different portfolios such as Bitcoin, Cardano, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Hedera, Solana, Stellar, Shiba Inu, and many more. They also discussed about the SEC lawsuit at the time, and their personal thoughts about the former SEC Chairman Gary Gensler. Another interesting thing everyone also discussed was their financial situation and what they sacrificed to put money toward XRP and other Cryptos. One of the people that came to see the movie was a mother and child, where the mom had said that she had sold her car to be able to buy more XRP. There were a lot of those that made a lot of sacrifices because they believed in XRP’s full potential.
After about an hour at 8:00PM, people were ushered into the theater to begin the start of the movie. The whole theater filled with everyone waiting to see the movie, there was a 30min countdown before the start of the film, so everyone could settle down in their seats. The movie officially started at 8:30PM, and without spoiling too much of the movie. It went into also into depth about XRP and how it was being suppressed and being held back from its full potential.
After the movie was finished, the movies director and producer Christopher and Maia Dodge held a Q&A and brought out those that were interviewed in the film to answer questions from anyone in the audience. Those who raised their hands asked what the estimated future price of XRP would be, and hosts answered that they could not give specific, but suggested that it could be life changing.
Another audience member asked whether President Donald Trump had any affiliation with XRP. And one of the attorneys that was interviewed in the film Jimmy Vallee stated that he could neither confirm nor deny, but that they wanted to bring the evidence that XRP was suppressed from the film to Trump’s legal team to review. At the end of the Q&A, the Director “Chris Dodge” Mentioned about releasing two more films one being “Money Disrupted – End the FED” and 3rd unofficial titled movie with the purpose of “following the money”.
All in all, the experience was worth it and one of the better crypto experiences that someone could have. Those who are invested in XRP are often called the “XRP army” and during this event, one can really feel they are part of an XRP army.
In the days following the Houston Premiere, XRP climbed from roughly from $0.50-$0.60 to $2.50-$2.60 in December and reached $3.55 in January, making it truly feel like XRP was unleashed after the experience.
